Established in 1957, in the period when the country was divided into the North and South, Hue Theater of theatrical drama was formerly known as the Tri Thien group under the 4th inter-regional administrative committee.
In addition to the conservation, promotion and development of the Hue theatrical drama, the theater has trained 178 actors, musicians, directors, stage critical theorists, authors, artists and art designers and organized national and modern music and dance programs.
Currently, the theater is continuing to strengthen the force and the contingent of artists and actors in the direction of rejuvenation, with policies to attract talented artistic nuclei; pay special attention to invest in consolidating facilities for professional activities of the Theater, in the direction of improving the scale of quality and efficiency to serve the people.
